Welcome to my website – ThePaperArrow.net! The name “Paper Arrow” was thought of because well 1) I love Paper!! All things paper, weights, texture, materials, color, designs. And 2) Arrow – I feel that – “Sometimes you need to just follow the arrow!” Stop. Listen to God, your heart or your “arrow” and go. For me, God is my “Arrow” for sure. The vision of The Paper Arrow is this – Giving clients unique and special paper goods and providing specialty pieces that I feel inspire and delight.
The Paper Arrow first came around early 2015 when I was up late at night doing art projects, drawing on chalkboards for friends and family, painting on canvasses, making invitations, etc. I would go to my full-time job and come home and night and draw (after the kids went to bed of course) some nights until 2 a.m. I always enjoy helping people and events, especially in the areas that I feel I can the most, drawing or anything artistically. I decided that maybe I could try and make this a business. Really, people would pay me to design and draw for them?! I have been doing this since I was 18. Before that when I was young, I was always good artistically and loved to draw and paint. I have loved invitations and at one point in my life I did so many friends and families invites that I became a part-time, self-employed wedding planner to create invitations for brides. I realized I didn’t have a passion for the other parts of the wedding necessarily, but the invitations!! Over the course of 20 years, I have made so many invitations for friends and family just as my gift and, of course, my hobby. Well, somehow things have evolved where I am doing more and more artwork than I can image.
My name is Angela, I am a nocturnal, left-handed mom of two kids and wife to my patient farming husband who is supportive of my madness and late-nights. I am a self-taught graphic designer – innate drawer – college-trained computer lover. I have always had a love for creating online and on paper, whether that be for websites, invitations and logos, along with creating with my hands. I have always loved and appreciated personal artwork on all sorts of paper. I also have a fetish for learning, doodling, writing and my pet peeve is bad handwriting and grammar. Oh and crumbs.
Just me, painting pumpkins for a charity event at my favorite local home decor shop, B. Whimsy.
My sweet daughter and all her glory!
And my spunky husband and son! Oh and the turtle they found on the farm, Spartan.
Thanks for checking out my work.
